Two Piece: Con Jobs in Coal Country and Foxconn Jobs in Wisconsin

We read two articles: one about a failed jobs program in coal country and another about a bad deal with Foxconn in Wisconsin. They were depressing and enraging. We touch on deindustrialization, the waning of the nation state, the thickening of civil society, the hatred of "white trash" and more.
